New in: Shoes | Holy Chic

I really thought it was time to get some nice boots that would be good for the autumn/winter weather, for everyday wear and formal occasions. The all rounder boot basically. And low and behold, New Look are very on point in the department so I present to you my babies.

Because they have a slight platform and a cleated sole, they make it really easy to walk in and to be able to be on your feel all day. And they don’t make a sound when you walk which was what I wanted.

So my new boots. Welcome to my shoe family. You might just love it here.

Have you bought any new shoes recently?

Have a great day and see you all with a new post very soon J

A Bloggers toolkit | Holy Chic

A bloggers toolkit is not one that contains hammers, nails and screwdrivers so sorry to disappoint if that is what you were expecting but I am going to share with you some things I consider to be essentials when moving forward in blogging.

Notebook + pen: this will help you stay organised, keep track of posts you have written, need to write/upload and what not. I’m sorry to tell you this but you can’t make it very far in blogging without a good old notebook

Camera: the rumours aren’t true; you don’t need an expensive dslr camera to do blogging. Of course if you want to, that’s your call but a phone camera does the job just fine. Sometimes all you need is good lighting

Usb: this is optional if you like to write your posts in advance, this will come in handy. You can take your posts on the go, organise them in to different folders and what not

Tablet: this is just my alternative to the oh so important laptop which might just be the no.1 essential. I blog off of my home computer so my tablet is more for travelling purposes and writing the odd blog post, Instagram and participating in chats

Those are just some of my bloggers toolkit essentials and are ones I would have. Are there any you think I have missed or recommend?

Have an awesome day

Outfit snippets #1 | Holy Chic

Seeing as I am still unable to do full length pictures for OOTDs most of the time, I thought It would be a nice idea to do outfit snippet posts once in a while

And seeing as autumn seems to have hit us rather abruptly recently, I think now would be the perfect time to begin this

This day I wore my maroon converses because they are the epitome of autumn. A also wore my basic black skinny jeans, black and white plaid shirt and hoodie. And finally some dainty accessorising pieces with two rings and my watch which I suddenly feel naked without if I don’t wear it everyday

I hope you liked this and hopefully I can do this a little more often

Have a great day and see you all with a new post very soon J

The Utility Basket | Holy Chic

This is a post I have had great difficulty attempting to write recently but I’m doing it and I hope I don’t have a mental block halfway through this post

This is the day where I share with you some of the things I have in this handy dandy basket I picked up in the 99p store (what a surprise)

I use this to hold all of my shower and bath necessities allowing easier transportation from my room to the bathroom. I can also chuck in products I want to try and the ones I use all the time. So I guess, here is what is in my utility basket.

I don’t want to make this post incredibly long or text heavy but some of my favourites have to be Bic Miss Solei razor because it shaves even the short hairs and leaves skin really soft and the Clean and Clear morning energy shine control face wash. Although it has an incredibly long name, it does a great job at mattifying the skin especially for you oily skinned people out there.

The toothbrush is the very cheap alternative to a clarisonic. Probably not as good but I would knock it until you’ve tried it really. Oh and the Ren hot cloth cleanser with the muslin cloth work a treat too.

So have you tried any of these products out before?

Let me know if you want a more in depth review of something below J

Have a good day J

The Facial Scrub | Holy Chic

There are many things in this world that I could blog about and today I chose facial scrubs. How weird yet wonderfully ordinary.

These two that I present to you re special because they have a smoothing effect meaning there are still micro exfoliating beads but they are coated in a smoothing moisturising cream and I have to say, it’s pretty cool.

It doesn’t feel as harsh on the skin and doesn’t leave it completely dry after wiping it off of your face.

I don’t really know where I am going with this but let me know if you have tried any smoothing scrubs and what are your favourites

The Usual Suspects | Holy Chic

Every day when I begin to get ready, I have come to realise that there are some products that I just use without fail. And you know what; I am going to share those with you right now J

Primer: it’s a must for me because I can’t deal with looking like a greasy pan all day anymore. The Nspa instant blur primer is the one I turn to.

Moisturiser: the face cream that has no faults. Palmer’s cocoa butter is one I have been using for years and don’t plan on stopping that any time soon.
Eye moisturiser: The garnier eye roll on is something my eyes appreciate in the morning. It has a great cooling effect and gives my eyes a boost of hydration

Eyebrows: I am not one to fill in my eyebrows but I do love a good spooley brush just to put them in their place
Makeup remover: Whether its makeup wipes or a liquid remover, the garnier micellar solution happens to be the one at the moment. Greta for makeup mistakes in the morning on a cotton bud and all over the eyes and face at night

Hand cream: The inecto hand and nail cream is where it is at really. Great all day moisturiser and travel friendly
Lip balm: The nuxe reve de miel does everything my lips wants. Keeps them moisturised, hydrated, lasts all day and on top of that, smells frickin amazing.

The body spray: if you know me, you will know that I always have Victoria's secrets fragrance mists on me and this so happens to be the mango nectar and hibiscus one. Great for all day use and can be used as a top up throughout the day

So those are the products that I use everyday without fail. Tell me some of yours below J

Have a great day J

Hello old friend | Holy Chic

It really was love at first sight and when I thought I could trade it in for a better version, well, it put me in my place and showed me who works best

I have tried numerous liquid eyeliners and I ventured my way back to good old Maybelline because it just can’t go wrong. It has a fine tip for precision but with flexibility to curve across the eye but sturdy enough so that it doesn’t bend (but it does slightly at the end after prolonged tlc). Its gives a jet black colour pay off and just is the master of precision. It’s also fairly in expensive so Eyeko, you can suck it because me and Maybelline is a bond you can’t ever break again.

What is your favourite liquid eyeliner at the moment?

Have an awesome day
